From Rochester to Chicago, Chicago to L.A., L. A. to Sydney, and here we are.
In L.A. we had time to see the city and understand how huge and sprawling the place is. But at the end of the afternoon, the gray day went to rain, then a downpour. We headed to the airport.
And finally, sometime around 11:00pm, we launched.
15 hours on a plane is the closest thing our modern life has to the iron maiden of ancient days, we think. A giant 747, packed. 4 full feature movies, countless TV shows, not much sleep, some snacks, and as much stretching as could manage later, we arrived. Just after 8:00 in the morning, almost 90 degrees and a similar humidity, we did customs, got bags, and tried to find a cab to our hotel.
Above is the cab line. It took almost and hour. Travel is so broadening….
But we made it to the hotel, got settled, and Stephen miraculously arrived to whisk us off to Trevor’s, and then a fabulous day seeing the city.
Here’s Amy and Trevor sitting in the sitting room of the oldest house in Australia.

And Amy, Trevor and Stephen enter the house at the front door.
We’ll add more about the day soon, but the battery grows weaker and tasks remain. Stay tuned.
